Other Wildlife You May See

Beavers

Two reasons beavers cut trees is that beavers forage on small trees and limbs for cambium that is under the bark for a food source.  Then, once the beavers eaten the cambium, the trees and branches become construction material for dams and beaver lodges.  Their teeth have an orange coating rich in iron that gives the beavers teeth incredible hardness, also their fur lined lips enables them to swim without taking water into their lungs.
