Bald Eagle Photography Tours

Come with me to my hidden places, where a warm heating shelter awaits, as we marvel at our great national symbol, the Bald Eagle.  This bird can have up to a 7 foot wing span and have a mating ritual in mid-air.  They eat fish, carrion or even ducks.

Snowshoe Trips

Snowshoeing at West Branch Pond Camp

In a remote area of Maine east of Kokadjo, in an area called Township A, Range 12 lies a wilderness camp with several cabins and a huge log dining room that has been sitting there since 1880 on First West Branch Pond in the shadow of White Cap Mountain.  Eric Stirling is the fourth generation of his family to operate the camp.  It is surrounded by conservation land and from January 21st to March 21st, we can use the many trails in this region to enjoy a great day of snowshoeing.  A completely peaceful setting where there are no snowmobiles or ATV’s to ruin the quiet of the Maine woods.  Eric has offered to feed us a nice hot lunch with chili, cheeseburgers or vegi burgers, with dessert, chips and drinks.  Snowshoes and poles provided.  Bring a good zoom camera, as we may see moose and winter birds, deer or turkey.

Ice-Fishing/Bald Eagle Trips

Say good-bye to the winter blues.  Enjoy the crisp Maine air and sunshine, as we pursue bass and perch on Manhanock Pond in Sangerville.  While fishing, look up at the heavens and view bald eagles as they soar above.  Learn about their habits and biology, while we catch fish.  Other local ponds hold trout, if you desire them.  Warm shelter, hot food, drinks, all equipment are included.
Wear insulated snow boots, wool socks, mittens, hat and windbreakers Cameras a must.  Great trip for kids & families.

Winter Moose and Bird Tours

Let’s be in pursuit of Maine’s state animal in winter, the moose.  Preferring the evergreen forest at this time of year when they like to yard up, you’ll see them in their winter coat.  Come enjoy a half or full day in the snow, as we snowshoe with ski poles to my hidden heated shelters with hot food and drink.  Also on the tour our winter feathered friends are out and about.  You may see various woodpeckers, snowy owls, partridge, black cap chickadees or nuthatch.

Remote Maine Woods Camp Snowshoe Wildlife Trek

In the wilderness of Kingsbury, Maine there is a peaceful setting where my helper Jenny has graciously let us use her heated cabin as a base camp.  Here we can snowshoe the acres of trails where moose, deer and winter birds exist.  Bring a good camera, as you may get a photo of a lifetime.  Relax after the trip for a hot cocoa or cider break, as Jenny & I share our stories of past adventures with people from afar.  Lunch is provided.
